Position Summary 

Inspire Radiology is seeking a full-time certified Radiology Practitioner Assistant (RPA) or Registered Radiology Assistant (RRA) to join our growing team. Under radiologist supervision, you will perform selected clinical procedures, assess and manage patients, handle preparatory tasks, and participate in patient management at Bay Area Hospital located in Coos Bay, Oregon.

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4 pm PST  (Covering roughly 133 fluoro shifts annually)
  • Rotating weeknights call, from 4 pm – 8 am PST
  • Rotating weekend call, from 8 am – 8 am PST (Covering a minimum of 100 line call shifts and after-hours call procedures)

Annual Salary: $115,000 – $140,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform selected fluoroscopic exams (statics and dynamic)
  • Perform selected invasive procedures, such as arthrograms, fluid drainage, placement of naso-gastric tubes, PICC lines, and any other procedures in which competency has been demonstrated
  • Evaluate medical images, review preliminary reports and images with radiologists, and dictate final reports that will be reviewed and signed off by the supervising staff radiologist
  • Communicate with referring physicians and healthcare teams regarding imaging findings
  • Perform pre- and post-procedural follow-up patient evaluation, draft notes in the medical record
  • Draft patient admission and/or discharge summary
  • Administer contrast agents and radiopharmaceuticals as prescribed by the radiologist
  • Administer general medications as prescribed by the radiologist in conformance with organizational policy
  • Ensure high-quality imaging standards and compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • Collaborate with technologists and medical staff to optimize workflow efficiency

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Certification as a Radiology Practitioner Assistant (RPA) or Registered Radiologist Assistant (RRA)RA
  • Must have completed an accredited RRA/RPA program and be certified by the ARRT and/or CBRPA
  • Licensed with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with physicians, patients, and hospital staff
